| 内容記述 | Christian literature has been the subject of research from various aspects, mainly as a research material for medieval Japanese language studies, and the results have been published in a wide range of fields, including linguistics, Japanese linguistics, history, and sociology. The historical background is that during the Age of Discovery after the Reformation in Europe, Roman Catholics expanded their missionary activities to the East, and the Jesuits, whose banner was education and research, expanded their missionary activities to Japan as well. This is a clue to various aspects of 16th century Japanese. Many of the materials used in the study of the Japanese language are still being researched as phonetic, grammatical, and lexical materials, but there are also materials that were created as teaching materials for the study of the Japanese language by Europeans, including Portuguese missionaries and illumined people who came to Japan from the Iberian Peninsula. There are also studies that refer to the aspects of Japanese language education and language learning. However, most of them focus on the text in the materials and do not focus on the contents and methods that may have contributed to the education of “speech” that does not remain in the materials. In this paper, I will try to focus on the materials that are related to the Japanese language education of the missionaries, and which are thought to have been teaching materials for speech. | |||||
