The research of the structure of landscape characteristics on the campuses of three universities showed that there were four patterns of landscape,  and the characteristic of desirable landscape on the Ikuta Campus was a landscape with a sense of openness and distant view. The landscape evaluation experiment showed that distant view and greenery enhanced evaluation.
