電子書籍の普及により,これまで紙の書籍(図書)の読書に困難のあったさまざまな人々が,読書できるようになると期待されている.しかし,アクセシブルな電子書籍については,なかなか普及が進まない現状にある.その大きな要因として指摘されるのが,制作のハードルの高さ(工程,コスト,時間など)である.従前よりも容易に制作できる方法が見出され,ハードルを下げることができれば,アクセシブルな電子書籍のタイトル数の拡大と普及に資する可能性は高い.そこで,筆者らは,既存の制作ツールのうち3つを事例として用い,アクセシブルな電子書籍を実際に制作してみて,その可能性と課題を探った.
The spread of e-book, person with print disability are expected to be able to reading. But, dissemination of accessible e-book does not proceed easily. The maximum factor is the height of the hurdle of accessible e-book production. By lowering this hurdle, accessible e-book can be more likely to spread. Therefore, in this paper, we empirically examine the possibility and challenges of accessible e-book production.
